Dr. Maria Montessori observed that during the critical years from birth to six years old the child is building a foundation for a lifelong love of learning.  The happiness and comfort of each little individual is always of prime concern.  The Litte House teachers provide a safe, loving environment for the child to explore through his senses and learn the wonders of himself and the world around him.  Our Little House is designed for Toddlers age 12 months to 2 1/2 years and is made up of 2 classrooms: 12-18 months and 18 months - 2 1/2 years old.  The development of motor movement and language are the two areas of most rapid growth in our Toddler classrooms.  The rooms are made up of small low tables, chairs and shelves especially designed for children of this age.  It is an open classroom which allows for them to move about freely.  Working with practical life and sensorial lessons help each child to further develop coordination and independence.
